The reply I made got nuked out of existence but I do wonder what the jp youth's reaction to the game was since all I know are fans of the game on EB 64 being really mad at the game for not living up to their expectations (and quite frankly again to a over the top reaction to such). Truly an intriguing thought because we don't really hear much stories of this happening (likely due to it releasing so late in the GBA's life cycle but even then ROMs of the game were circulating back then even before the game got released). I just wanna hear more of this perspective outside of extreme unwarranted cynicism because "the game was so bad it made me hate Itoi".

How come so much of the remake music feels like Sinnoh-ified Johto? It just doesn't land right to me...the emotional bits don't feel emotional enough, and the music has a completely different feeling to the original melody.

I didnt play mario kart wii, but there is one thing i love about this track in 8 deluxe: going through the cannon at the beginning and your character yells out as they do from a cannon section, but you can also hear their echoes through the mountain!! Such a nice detail

I found out this theme came from the original New Super Mario Bros. for Nintendo DS a few years ago, after I suggested a friend the idea of playing games together through Download Mode, since he had a 3DS, but he always forgot to bring his games. We had a lot of fun those holidays, spending days or even weeks playing DS games together, such as this masterpiece.
